Research Overview:

  • The novel application of biosensor technology for rapid and sensitive detection of microbial endotoxin contamination in fluid systems (Blood Serum, Urine, dialysis fluid, and culture etc) and clinically applicable compounds (medical devices meant for implantation, injectable pharmaceutical products etc) from the lysate of the Indian Horseshoe crab.
  • Biomeralization of manganese from waste and natural resources and enhanced recovery of manganese as electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMD) from ferro-manganese mine tailing through bioleaching.
